The Beaver published by Canada's National History Society received top honours as "Manitoba Magazine of the Year" at the first ever Manitoba Magazine Publishers' Association, Manitoba Magazine Awards or "Maggies" held Friday May 08, 2009 at the Fairmont Winnipeg.
